X-ray for dental implants
X-ray images or in this case dental cone beam computed tomography (CT) are necessary for the installation of dental implants.
Routine shots such as small images of one or two teeth or panoramic images are not enough for planning treatment with dental implants.
Today, planning of dental implant installation is based on three-dimensional images. The most accurate is CT scan – a three-dimensional computed tomography.
These images give us all the information about your bone, length, width, quantity and quality. Also 3D images will give us precise location for accurate placement of dental implants. They will also give all anatomical structures that should be avoided during implant placement.
