What is 3D and why is X-ray imaging (3D CBCT) important?

When examining and planning the installation of dental implants, it is necessary to make three – dimensional images, of which CBCT – three – dimensional computed tomography stands out as the most accurate.

Such images give us a handful of necessary information about the length, width, quantity and quality of the patient’s bones, as well as the perfectly precise position of the anatomical structures that should be avoided during the installation of dental implants.

Classic X-rays such as small images of individual teeth or a panoramic X-ray of the jaw are not enough to plan the installation of dental implants.
